The Etherstretch(TM) ET1500CW Outdoor IP Cameras over Coax Transmitter is a network extender-PoE Inserter component. The ET1500CW includes a NEMA4X rated enclosure to house the transmitter. The weatherproof transmitter enclosure makes it possible to take the network outdoors to devices located in hostile environments.The ET1500CW operates with either an ER8500C or ER16500C 8 or 16 Port IP Extender/Gigabit PoE Switch Receiver Unit, to form a multi-channel IP extender ''over-coax'' system. The System transmits IP cameras over coax and can quickly turn any ordinary RG59U coaxial cable into a high speed network communication & PoE path. When operating over RG59U coaxial cable, the coax network extender system can operate for distances of up to 500 meters (1,640 feet). ET1500CW Transmitter is part of a system that operates in conjunction with either a ER8500C Eight Port Receiver or ER16500C Sixteen Port Receiver (these receivers are sold separately).The ET1500CW coax ethernet extender requires very little installation time & absolutely no set up or configuration. The The ET1500CW ethernet over coax network extender transmitter is transparent to the network and has no IP or MAC addressing. Simply connect your network devices to the network ports of the transmitter along with existing cabling and the system begins communicating. LED indicators show the status of network communication and PoE power.
